Parent/Teacher Conferences 

Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up on November 27 and 28. You can book an appointment using your MyCBE account starting on Monday, November 17 at 8am. Interpreters will be reached by teachers during the appointments, but no one will be reaching out to you to pre-book these appointments, so please make sure to book a time. This is an important opportunity to sit with your child’s teacher to discuss their progress and achievement in school. 

Pick-Up Arrangements 

Only adults on your child’s emergency contact list are able to pick up your child. If someone is picking up your child regularly, please make sure they are added to your demographic form, available for update through your MyCBE account. For one-off situations, please feel free to just call the office to let us know the temporary change of plan. Thanks for helping dismissal stay safe and smooth! 

Reminder | Upcoming Council Meetings (repeated from last week’s update) 

Due to the recent labour action, the Annual General Meeting of Marlborough School Council/Parents’ Society originally scheduled for mid-October was cancelled. The upcoming regular meeting on November 17 at 6:00 pm will proceed as planned, and the Annual General Meeting will be held on December 8 at 6:00 pm at the school. Any parent/guardian of a Marlborough School student is welcome to attend.

Friday Attendance 

We are noticing a pattern of non-attendance where some students regularly miss school on Fridays. This is a reminder that Friday is a school day for students in grades 1-5. It is important for students to attend school, even on shortened days. Missed days of school add up and cause gaps in learning that impact students throughout their school career. Please make every effort to get your child to school every day classes are scheduled. For those who are attending every day, thank you for your support!
