Calendar Reminders and Updates 📅
Please make sure you're up to date with our online calendar. The usual items, like days with no classes for kids, are listed already. There's also a handy PDF version of our Marlborough School calendar that you can print, or you can subscribe to the calendar so updates will come right to your phone. Updates from Council/Society Meeting ✅
The Marlborough School Council and Marlborough School Parents' Society met last Monday for our Annual General Meeting. Big thanks to those who were voted into executive positions, and to the new families who attended the meeting. Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 9 at 6pm. It will be held online, and the link will be sent out on the morning of the meeting via email to parents/guardians of students. Look for a notice about fun lunches in your child's backpack next week!
Student Progress and Achievement 📝
Teaching and learning are well underway for this school year, and we've had some questions recently about the timelines for getting information about their student progress and achievement. This felt like the right time to share a brief outline of when information will be shared with families. Remember, if you have questions about your child's learning, you can always reach out to their teacher.
Here are some upcoming dates when information will be shared more formally:
- Week of October 26 - reports detailing student achievement on the Alberta Education and Childcare early years screeners (more information available here)
- November 26-27 - Student Learning Conferences, when parents/guardians can book a time to come in and meat with teachers about their children's progress and achievement
- Late February - Report cards for the first term will be available for online viewing
