Save the Date | K, 1, 2 Concert 

Ms. Tingley and the students are working hard on their songs for the upcoming concert. Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students will present a wonderful show on Thursday, April 23 at 6:00pm. Doors will open at 5:30, and the concert will end at 6:30. Mark your calendar! 

Reminder | School Council Monday April 13 

Marlborough School Council and Parents’ Society will meet online at 6pm on Monday, April 13. All parents/guardians of Marlborough School students are welcome to attend. The meeting link will be sent out on Monday morning.

Language and Reading: Tying it Together with the Reading Rope 

April 20, 4-5pm and May 4, 4-5pm on Microsoft Teams 

You’re invited to join the CBE speech-language pathologists in a session aimed at learning how to support language development and building reading skills. We’ll focus on building language skills through shared reading experiences and playing with sounds during everyday activities. This is a live online two-part series intended for caregivers of kindergarten, grade 1, and grade 2 students. Please note that this is a session for parents/guardians. 

These topics will be discussed: 

Session 1 – foundational skills for reading, shared reading benefits and strategies, practical vocabulary and grammar instruction 

Session 2 – unlocking sound awareness, sound awareness activities
